So I called to me Eli’ezer, my trusted companion who had been with me since we had come out of the city of Shalom, and I said to him, Put now your hand under my thigh and swear to me before the Most High Elohim that you shall go unto the city of Ḥaran and bring from there Riḇqah, daughter of Bethu’ĕl son of Naḥor my brother to be a wife to my son Yitsḥaq according to the Word of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄, but if the maiden refuse to come with you, you shall be free of this oath.

So Eli’ezer swore before the Most High Elohim and departed from me in peace.

He also pursued his journey to Ḥaran and found Riḇqah, even as I had said, and returned with her after the return of my son Yitsḥaq from the city of Shalom.

Thus Yitsḥaq took Riḇqah to wife when he was forty years old, he having four other wives; but Riḇqah he took to wife in the tent of Sarah.

And Riḇqah bare no children; wherefore I knew that 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 should work a marvelous work in her even as in Sarah before her.

Therefore, my heart rejoiced in Riḇqah, the wife of my son Yitsḥaq, for she was pure and virtuous like to Sarah my beloved who had preceded me into the rest of 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄.
